How To Remove A Full Water Bottle From A Water Cooler
When businesses are looking to purchase a bottled water cooler, one of the main concerns for the staff is about the process of changing the water cooler bottles. But with a little bit of preparation and understanding, they need not be. Changing a bottle from the water cooler is a very straightforward and simple process that will only take a matter of minutes, but it is one that is critical to ensuring that yourself, colleagues and clients have continuous access to clean fresh tasting water.
How to Replace a Water Bottle onto a Water Cooler
- The first step to making the transition easy is to do a little preparation. At this stage, you’ll need to make sure that your new bottle is ready to be used. Before doing anything, it’s important to wash your hands with soap so that you can handle the new bottle hygienically. Next, you’ll need to wipe the bottle down with soapy water to remove any contaminants that will affect water quality. Now that you’ve prepared the water bottle, you’ll need to prepare your workspace. In order to move the water safely, it’s a good idea to place a chair within reach so that you have a place to position the replacement bottle.
- Next you’ll need to remove the old bottle. Before moving the old bottle you want to make sure that the old bottle is almost empty as if it’s too full you’ll end up splashing water everywhere. If the bottle is almost empty then it’s time to move it. To handle the bottle, lift straight up from the cooler to remove it and place the old bottle out of the way to return to your water supplier. Once the bottle is removed, it’s a good idea to wipe around the rim of the cooler to dry off and clean any debris.
- To put in the new bottle you’ll want to get yourself into a stable position with your feet shoulder width apart before you squat down to pick it up. Make sure that your back is straight and that your knees don’t go over your toes. Next, you need to take the bottle’s neck with one hand, and place the other beneath the bottle.
- Stand up slowly using your legs to push up and put the bottle on the chair mentioned in step 1. Once the bottle is on the chair take the cap or tab off of the neck and lift the bottle up to the water cooler. As you lift the water bottle up, place it at a 45-degree angle to start the flow of water into the cooler. As the flow of water increases in speed, it’s time to secure it to the base.
