Coffee machine rental prices are a little more complicated than just a single price and the following points all affect the pricing and are very important to consider when renting a coffee machine.
Is it better to rent or buy a coffee machine? Short answer is it depends as both have pros and cons.
Rental pros: One big plus of a rental is that you get a full maintenance plan included in your rental. This means if anything goes wrong you get free assistance and a machine swop out if your machine is faulty
Financially it also makes a lot of sense to rent if you can take advantage of the “discounted rental” as your cost of the coffee remains the same whether you buy or rent a machine. To be able to get a machine for a very small monthly fee without having to do a big once off outlay is a big plus. Also if your circumstances change (if your business changes in size) you can change machines accordingly to suit your needs whereas if you’ve bought a machine, you would now need to buy another machine to suit your “new” needs.
Pros of buying is that you own the machine and it particularly makes sense to buy if you only drink a coffee or two a day but would still like a machine that makes fantastic coffee.
Yes, you read that correctly! Although we feel we have some great options, our solutions are not right for everyone.
Our coffee machine rentals are so low because we use our customers coffee spend to subsidize/reduce their rental costs of our machines. For this reason if you go through our trial period and you can’t seem to find a coffee of ours that you like then we might not be the best fit for you.
We also don’t do coin operated machines as we feel it costs companies more in the long run. The rental difference between a coin operated machine and a non coin operated machine is quite drastic often resulting in the companies spending more money on renting the coin mechanism than if people consumed freely.
If you ask us what we do, we would say we are coffee solutions specialists. We call ourselves this as it means we specialise in supplying the coffee machine, all the servicing around the coffee machine and the coffee products required. We do this for three reasons.
- We feel our coffee is pretty good – its what we do.
- By supplying coffee to a customer it enables us to heavily discount the rental, giving our customers a lot more value.
- Our delivery of products makes life easier for customers. We deliver most places in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban the next day after ordering at no charge.
We are firm believers to never compromise on the one thing which we believe is even more important than price and that is the contract length or rental term. Really, who signs long term contracts these days? Imagine being stuck for 36 months in a contract and you don’t like the coffee on day 1. Or imagine the company supplying you doesn’t live up to what you are hoping for. Long term contracts or being stuck in a contract is just not cool, hence all contacts are 12 months with the option to cancel in the first 30 days.
Flexibility is similar to rental term in a way but it also means having the flexibility to change machines or purchase different machines at any time. Let’s face it – things change. Have you ever heard of an iPad? Well, a few years ago no one in the world had… because they weren’t invented back then. We believe it is quite important to have the flexibility to be able to change your mind or change options when it suits you.
